Dear TCYBA Member Community,
A couple of weeks ago one of our coaches, Cassandra Sparvier, lost her home in a devastating fire that destroyed all of her possessions and displaced her and her young sons. She and her family literally lost everything and are beginning completely from scratch to rebuild their lives.
I have been in touch with her family and fortunately she has a place to stay and her family has rallied around her to support her in her recovery but this is going to take an incredible amount of effort and resources. I personally cannot imagine losing everything I've built and accumulated over my lifetime and I hope you will join me in supporting her and her family at this difficult time.
The family has asked for support via a GoFundMe set up by her sister Katie. Here is a link https://gofund.me/1cf39391. It has a modest goal but I hope our community will be generous and far surpass that for them.
Please limit your support to this effort as the family already has a great deal of clothes and household items that have been donated and they really need the financial support to help them recover.
We have just celebrated Thanksgiving not long ago and Cassandra had to celebrate without her home and possessions. Please help her if you can. Even the smallest donation is appreciated by the family. Let's show them how our basketball community supports our own.
On behalf of our Board of Directors I'm grateful for your generosity, thank you!
With gratitude,
Todd Purves
