Concussion Education for Parents and Coaches

Posted on: November 22, 2015

Concussions have been a constant topic in all sorts of media related to all levels of athletics recently.

TCYBA ENCOURAGES COACHES AND PARENTS TO LEARN ABOUT CONCUSSIONS

TCYBA would like all of our coaches and parents to become better equipped to understand this issue. We would encourage you to visit the Concussion Awareness Training Toolwebsite at cattonline.com to learn about and how to identify concussion symptoms in our young athletes.

The information is kept up to date and there are specific sections for players, parents and coaches as well as a 30 minute course that can be completed online. We have added the link to our Parents Resource and Coaching Resource page.

Please take some time to familiarize yourself with this health issue so that you will know how to respond if your child or player has a head related collision or displays certain symptoms after any incident that causes sudden deceleration of the head.
