
The Tri City Youth Basketball Association (TCYBA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ross Tomlinson to its newly created staff position of Executive
Director. Ross has been actively involved with the TCYBA as both a coach and board member for over 10 years and we’re extremely pleased that he has
agreed to bring his wealth of basketball organizational skills to this new full-time position with the league.
Prior to joining us, Ross served for 17 years as the Technical Director & Manager of Sport Performance at Basketball BC. His extensive basketball
background, passion for youth development and service in his community combine to make Ross the perfect fit for this exciting new role at the TCYBA.
Reporting to the TCYBA Board of Directors, Ross will be responsible for the day-to-day league operations as well as working with the board to identify
new opportunities for the TCYBA to serve its membership through basketball-related programming.
“As a leading non-profit youth basketball club our league continues to look for new ways to serve our community,” says TCYBA President, Todd
Purves, “and we’re very much looking forward to working with Ross to ensure we continue to offer the very best youth basketball programming possible to all our members.
“I’m confident that the broad range of high-level experience and energy Ross brings to this new role within the league will ensure that we are well-positioned to maintain and expand upon our current programming and bring even more exciting opportunities to the TCYBA in the future.”
In addition, Ross says, “I’m very excited about this fantastic new opportunity with the TCYBA as well. I’m really looking forward to exploring new ways to enrich the basketball experience we now offer our members as well as the chance to greater serve the Tri Cities community as a whole. I’m confident that the wonderful experience I’ve gained during my time at Basketball BC has prepared me well for this next phase in my career.”
