KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 3 

WINTER ROOKIE REGISTRATION

The JR NBA Rookie Division program is designed specifically for children in Kindergarten to Grade 3, and it is divided into three separate programs:

·         ​ Fall Program: First week of October to the end of November

·         Winter Program: The week school resumes in January to early March

·         Spring Program: Early April to early June

​​To participate in any of these programs, you will need to complete a separate registration for each program.

​

There are three different registration phases available. Please read the following information to determine which phase is appropriate for you.

 

PHASE 1: NOVEMBER 9th TO NOBEMBER 15th, 2026

If you are a returning player and want to continue playing with your current team from the Fall 2026 season, please be aware that spaces will only be reserved for you until midnight on November 15.

Furthermore, if you wish to switch teams or were only registered for the Fall 2025, Winter 2026 or Spring 2026 seasons, you will need to register during Phase 2.

PHASE 2: NOVEMBER 16th TO NOVEMBER 21st, 2026

Players from Fall 2026 wishing to change teams and returning players who took part in the Fall 2025, Winter 2026, or Spring 2026 seasons have the opportunity to register for any team that still has available space.

However, if your child is new to TCYBA or was not registered in any of the mentioned seasons (Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring 2026 or Fall 2026), we kindly request that you do not register during this phase. Registration for new or previously unregistered players will open on November 22.

PHASE 3: NOVEMBER 22nd – ONGOING TO JANUARY 2027

For new players and returning players who did not register during phase 1 or 2. You may register to any team with available space.

 

For new players joining TCYBA, they must register to a team where their grade level in September is the higher grade. For example, a new Grade 3 player may only play on a Grade 2/3 team. Play­ing on a Grade 3/4 team is considered play­ing up in Grade 4. 

 

If a Grade 3 player has already played with TCYBA for one season and they are prepared to play with others who are their age or older, they can register to a Grade 3/4 team. 

 

The same eligibility applies to all age groups.

REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION

For all phases of registration, your registration receipt, generated by our registration site Team Snap, is not a confirmation of placement on a team. It is strictly to let you know we have received your application detailing the team information you are requesting. 

 

No registration is complete until you have been rostered to a team which you can confirm by looking at the My Teams Page in your Team Snap Account
