HOLIDAY HOOPS BASKETBALL CAMPS

The Tri City Youth Basketball Association will once again be offering our popular winter holiday camps from Dec 27-30.


Holiday Hoops Skills Camp


The TCYBA Holiday Skills camps are designed for players looking to develop their athleticism and improve their offensive skills.  The camps will focus on:

·       Passing

·       Shooting

·       Ball Handling

·       Footwork

·       Decision Making

·       Understanding of the Game


Camps available for registration include:


  • Grades 3/4/5 (Boys and Girls):  Dec 27-29 (8:30 am – 11:30 am) - $105.00

  • Grades 6/7/8 (Boys and Girls):  Dec 27-29 (12:00 pm – 3:00 pm) - $105.00


Holiday Hoops Shooting Camp


This camp provides participants with a focused opportunity to develop your shot. Participants will learn the foundational pieces of good shooting mechanics and take part in drills and competitions designed to enhance their shooting form and ability to effectively shoot the basketball.   


· Session 1 (Boys and Girls Grade 6 - 12): Dec 30 (9:00 am – 11:45 am) - $50.00

· Session 2 (Boys and Girls Grade 6 - 12): Dec 30 (12:15 pm – 3:00 pm) - $50.00


Registration


All Holiday Hoops camps will take place at Pinetree Community Centre Court #3 located at 1260 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC V3B 7Z4.


Each camp has a maximum enrollment of 24 players. These sessions will fill quickly so if you are interested, please register right away to avoid disappointment.


Because both programs involve individual skill development and not game situations, all sessions will be co-ed.


All camp participants must bring their own basketball and water bottle to their session.

The Tri-City Youth Basketball Association (TCYBA) was formed in 1999 and is a volunteer-driven registered not-for-profit that serves the youth of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody (Tri-Cities), New Westminster, Burnaby and surrounding areas in British Columbia, Canada. Currently, we have well over 2000 players, from Kindergarten to grade 12, playing in various divisions including both competitive Elite programs and recreational play. We offer academies, camps, official's development paths and coaching clinics in partnership with various local, provincial and national partners. Open to both boys and girls, the club operates out-of-school gyms across the Tri-City area and strives to ensure all youth that want to enjoy the sport have an opportunity to participate. We believe that youth sport is critical to a child's development and the opportunity to build skills for both the sport and for life should be available to all of our community's youth.
