TCYBA SUMMER CAMPS

TCYBA will be hosting its popular Summer Basketball Camps during selected weeks in July and August. These camps fill up quickly, so make sure you register to secure your place.

These camps aim to develop and enhance players' athleticism and basketball skills. The camps focus on the fundamental aspects of sports, known as the ABC's (Agility, Balance, Coordination, and Speed), as well as key basketball skills. Participants will have the opportunity to work on:

  • Passing

  • Shooting

  • Ball Handling

  • Pivoting

  • Defense

  • Attack & Counter One-on-One Moves

  • Team Play

To ensure optimal coaching and supervision, additional assistant coaches may be present during the academy sessions, maintaining a suitable coach to player ratio.

The primary requirement for attending the Summer Basketball Camps is a genuine enthusiasm for participation and a desire for improvement. Regardless of skill level, all players are encouraged to join and take advantage of the opportunity to enhance their basketball abilities in a supportive environment.

Enroll in our Summer basketball camps and embark on a journey of skill development and improvement.

The Tri-City Youth Basketball Association (TCYBA) was formed in 1999 and is a volunteer-driven registered not-for-profit that serves the youth of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody (Tri-Cities), New Westminster, Burnaby and surrounding areas in British Columbia, Canada. Currently, we have well over 2000 players, from Kindergarten to grade 12, playing in various divisions including both competitive Elite programs and recreational play. We offer academies, camps, official's development paths and coaching clinics in partnership with various local, provincial and national partners. Open to both boys and girls, the club operates out-of-school gyms across the Tri-City area and strives to ensure all youth that want to enjoy the sport have an opportunity to participate. We believe that youth sport is critical to a child's development and the opportunity to build skills for both the sport and for life should be available to all of our community's youth.
