Our Euro Basketball Training is designed for all players who want to elevate their game and experience basketball in a different way. Open to athletes of varied skill levels, each session introduces participants to proven European training methods, emphasizing creativity, decision making, teamwork, and skill development through intelligent, efficient play.
Leading the training sessions is Coach Luka Vukalovic, a globally seasoned basketball professional with over 25 years of coaching experience across Europe, Asia, and North America. Luka has guided teams to championship success in Serbia, China, Portugal, and Canada, developing elite youth and post secondary talent along the way. His local résumé includes assistant coaching roles with Capilano University and the University of the Fraser Valley, as well as serving in similar roles internationally including as Head Coach of the NBA Yao Ming Basketball Club in Beijing.
Luka’s teaching philosophy blends tactical precision, motivational leadership, and a deep passion for player development. His athletes have advanced to compete at CCAA, U Sport, NCAA, and professional levels. With a Bachelor’s degree in Coaching & Business Management, a FIBA coaching license, and multiple safe sport certifications, he ensures every participant gains a positive, high-quality learning experience.
Under Luka’s leadership, players benefit from the same attention to detail and thoughtful structure used in professional programs—translated into an inclusive environment that encourages growth at every stage. Each day challenges participants to think the game differently, sharpen their technical skills, and strengthen the mental decision making needed to perform under pressure.
While the training mirrors the intensity of top-level basketball, it’s built on support, enthusiasm, and shared progress. Every athlete, regardless of background or competitive level, will leave with greater confidence, sharper skills, and a deeper love for the game—ready to prepare, perform, and play their best.
Training sessions will take place on Monday evenings at Eagle Mountain Middle School from 6:00-7:30 pm for Grades 4 & 5 and 7:30-9:00 pm for Grades 6, 7 & 8. Session dates are January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 23 & March 2 & 9. The cost to participate is $200.
